Club career

Mandžukić made his first footballing steps at the German club TSF Ditzingen, based near Stuttgart, in 1992. Upon his return to his home city he spent the period between 1996 and 2003 at Marsonia, before spending a season at the city minnows NK Željezničar. The next season he returned to Marsonia and in the summer of 2005 he made a move to NK Zagreb. He thrived under the tuition of Miroslav Blažević and earned a lot interest from other clubs. In the summer of 2007 he was bought by the Croatian powerhouse Dinamo Zagreb for €1.3 million as a replacement for their star striker Eduardo da Silva.[1] He finished his first season at Dinamo with 12 goals and 11 assists throughout 29 matches, but also had a bad discipline record, collecting 8 yellow cards. In the 2008–09 Prva HNL Mandžukić was league's top goalscorer, bagging 16 goals in 28 appearances. After the 2008–09 season had finished he was linked with German side Werder Bremen, but the €12m offer was rejected by Dinamo Zagreb board who were of opinion that Mandžukić's price was at least €15m. On 17 September 2009, after Dinamo lost 2–0 at home to Anderlecht in Europa League, Mandžukić was controversially fined €100k after being accused for poor performance.[2] It was the first time in the history of the club that the player was financially fined.[3] On 20 September, Mandžukić captained Dinamo to a 6–0 victory against Rijeka in Prva HNL. In a post–match interview Mandžukić rejected any speculations about him leaving the club after the fine, stating that it was his childhood dream to captain Dinamo side and that he tends to give his best in any match he plays for the club.

VfL Wolfsburg

On 14 July 2010, Mandžukić signed for VfL Wolfsburg for a fee believed to be around 7 million euros.[4] In two years at Wolfsburg, he scored 20 times in 56 appearances.

Bayern Munich

On 26 June 2012, Mandžukić signed a contract with Bundesliga club Bayern Munich, pending a medical test, subsequent to his strong performance at the 2012 Euro Championships held jointly in Ukraine and Poland, and because of his terrific form for VfL Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga. On 27 June the transfer was announced by Bayern Munich.[5][6] The fee was undisclosed. On 24 July 2012, Mandžukić made his debut for Bayern Munich in a 6–0 win against Chinese Super League side Beijing Guoan F.C. scoring his first goal in this friendly match, making the score 5–0 in the 79th minute. On 12 August 2012, he scored his first goal in an official game against Borussia Dortmund, in the 6th minute, and helped his team to win the German Supercup. He scored his first league goal for Bayern against Greuther Fürth on matchday one and added another one the next matchday in a 6–1 win against VfB Stuttgart. He went on to score twice against his ex-club VfL Wolfsburg.

National team

After putting together a string of solid performances in the 2007–08 Prva HNL, as well as in Dinamo's UEFA Champions League and UEFA Cup matches, he earned a call–up to the Croatian national team, for which he debuted in a game against Macedonia on 17 November 2007. On 10 September 2008, he scored his first ever goal for Croatia in a 4–1 loss against England. He scored twice in Croatia's opening game of Euro 2012 against Republic of Ireland. He also scored against Italy in the following group game.[7] He was co-top scorer of the tournament, with three goals.

Holger Badstuber born on 13 march 1989.He is German footballer who plays as a defender for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga and the German national football team. He is primarily a centre back, although he is a capable left back.[2] Former Bayern Munich coach Louis van Gaal stated that he is the best left footed defender in Germany.

CLUB CAREER

Badstuber was born in Memmingen, Bavaria. From 2002 to 2007, he progressed through the youth setup at Bayern Munich. He played for Bayern's reserve team before signing professional terms in July 2009, along with team-mate Thomas Müller, having been an unused substitute in a number of first-team matches in the 2008–09 season. He made his debut in the first league game of the 2009–10 season, against Hoffenheim and has been a regular in defence. He scored his first senior goal, a powerful free kick, against Borussia Mönchengladbach on 4 December 2009. A centre back by trade, he has been playing out of position at left back. However the youngster impressed in his first season, and started all league games save one in the 2009–10 Bundesliga season.
On 4 February 2010, Bayern Munich announced that Badstuber had signed a new contract that would keep him at the club until 2014.[4][5]
Throughout the 2010–11 season with Bayern, Badstuber endured a tumultuous relationship with coach Louis van Gaal, who despite stating that he has high trust in Badstuber, strongly criticized him following a number of poor performances. As a result of his poor form he found himself out of the starting eleven several times throughout the season. With the arrival of Jupp Heynckes however, he was reinstated at the left of central defense, where he has enjoyed a fruitful relationship with fellow international Jerome Boateng, and helped Bayern maintain 11 clean sheets in a row. Additionally, he was integral to the Bayern Munich defensive line which lead the team to the champions league final in the 2011–12 season, beating Real Madrid, Napoli and Manchester City along the way
INTERNATONAL CAREER
He was first called up to the senior team as part of the provisional squad for the 2010 World Cup. He made his debut in a warm-up match against Hungary on 29 May coming on as a substitute for Arne Friedrich,[7] and was for the first time in the starting lineup in the next game against Bosnia and Herzegovina, the last friendly prior to the World Cup. Badstuber was then selected in Germany's 23-man squad for the world cup finals in South Africa on 1 June, and being handed the squad number 14 shirt by coach Joachim Löw.[8] He started in Germany's opening group game against Australia at the Durban Stadium, playing the full 90 minutes at left-back and helping the team to a 4–0 victory, it was only his third match in the Germany jersey. Badstuber then started the next group game against Serbia on 18 June 2010 in Port Elizabeth at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium. He played 77 minutes, prior to being substituted for fellow Bayern team mate Mario Gómez. He was criticised for his performance and lost his leftback position in the starting lineup to Jerome Boateng for the rest of the tournament, the 1–0 loss against the Serbs was – so far – the only match in which Badstuber played and Germany lost.
After the erratic World Cup, Badstuber improved his performances with consistency and established himself as a starting lineup defender in Löw's team. He helped Germany to win all 10 matches of the Mannschaft's qualification campaign for Euro 2012 to top group A by playing nine out of a possible ten matches, he was only spared in the – for qualification irrelevant – last match against Belgium. During the campaign Badstuber scored his first goal, the 5–1 against Azerbaijan, he headed home a corner kick by Mesut Özil. In a friendly 3–3 draw on 11 November 2011 against Ukraine, in the international inauguration match of the new Kiev Olympic Stadion, Löw's experimental formation featured only three defenders, Badstuber was as named the single centre back, this was interpreted as a signal that out of many possible candidates Badstuber has established himself as Löw's most important player in Germany's central defence.[9]
Badstuber started the first game for Germany in UEFA Euro 2012 helping the team to a clean sheet against Portugal in which the Germans won 1–0. In Germany's semi-final tie against Italy, Badstuber was beaten at the near post by Italian forward Mario Balotelli, allowing Balotelli to score the first of his two goals that would see the Germans lose 1–2.

Brief History:

Bayern Munich club previously was named MTV 1879. When the club was banned members of his football players to join the German football federation (DFB), 11 members of the 1879 MTV stripped of their status and form of FC Bayern Munich.

The name itself literally in fact show the origin of their territory if translated into English into Bavaria Munich. In Germany, Bayern Munich used the name, but calling an international public familiar with Bayern Munich.

Before the era of the Bundesliga, Bayern fairly tough teams in regional competitions southern Germany. Before World War I broke out, Bayern won Kreisliga the 1910-11 season, the league's first regional Bavaria. At this time, FC Nuremberg became rivals Bayern. Between the 1920s and 1930s, the Nuremberg more success by reaching the championship five times in the decade of the 20s. Meeting both called Bavarian derby.

When the Bundesliga was formed in 1963, only five teams from the Oberliga - division one league southern Germany at the time - were allowed to compete. Bayern qualify for perch in three major final standings Oberliga. But since DFB requires only one city can be represented as a team, Bayern had to succumb to local rivals TSV 1860 Munich, Oberliga champions at the time.

Bayern promotion to the Bundesliga two seasons later and began their history of success with young players, the "pivot" Sepp Maier, Franz Beckenbauer and Gerd Muller.

Now, like most other clubs in Europe, Bayern also have other sports, such as basketball, bowling, chess, gymnastics, handball, table tennis, referees, to senior football.

Sejarah Singkat :

Pertemuan keduanya disebut derby Bavaria.
